Where Does Your Salary Rank in Taiwan?
Estimated from official 2024 statistics
A salary is a number for how much you earn; a rank is a coordinate for where you stand. Enter your age and annual salary to see your position among Taiwanese employees of your age group.
📌 What the data covers (read this first)
- Source: Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS): median and distribution of annual total salary of employees in industry and services, 2024 (ROC year 113) (published 2025-11-25)
- "Annual salary" = total pay for the whole year, including bonuses, overtime pay, festival bonuses and performance pay, before tax.
Do not simply multiply your monthly pay by 12: that understates real annual pay by 10–30% because year-end bonuses are left out. - Want to check the latest figures? DGBAS salary platform, "compare your pay" (in Chinese)

The result above rests on these assumptions
- Only "employees in industry and services" are counted. Self-employed people, employers, agriculture, forestry, fishing and animal husbandry, military, civil servants and teachers, and retirees are excluded; that is the scope of the DGBAS table.
- "Annual salary" means total pay for the year (bonuses, overtime, festival bonuses and performance pay included), before tax. Do not just multiply monthly pay by 12, which understates it by 10–30%. More on Taiwan salary percentiles →
- In v1.0, each age group's P10/P25/P75/P90 are estimated from the national ratios. The P50 of each age group is the figure verified by DGBAS, but P10/P25/P75/P90 are simplified estimates (v1.1 will upgrade them to the original quantiles in DGBAS table 4). The error is on the order of 1–2 percentile points.
- Age is not resolved to the year. DGBAS only publishes 5 age groups (under 30 / 30–39 / 40–49 / 50–64 / 65+); differences within a group are below the resolution of the data.
- Data year: ROC year 113 (2024). DGBAS updates it every November; posted 2025-11-25.
A percentile is a position, not a value. A P50 salary does not make a P50 life, and P90 does not mean you have "won". This tool gives you a coordinate; it makes no comment on your life choices.
